Once upon a time I did a brief stint as a jazz singer in a very dreamy show called Sleep No More. I would spend half the show in the dressing room by myself listening to an echo of ghosts from the radio stuck on 1934 before singing in the bar after the show and watching all the late night jazz and cabaret acts into the early morning hours. This painting is a sketch of memory from then.
